I was recently inspired by a Lookbook thread to do a blog feature on people's thoughts and opinions on "small boobs". My inspiration came from the fact that so many people — women and men — had so much to say on this topic. There was a whole variety of opinions on this topic, but from what I gathered, the majority thought that having small breasts was the way to go. I decided to take this thread one step further and do a more in-depth analysis on this social matter. (Oh gosh, I'm double majoring in psychology and sociology right now. I hope this doesn't become some sort of mini study.. I'm such a nerd...)
Male and female interviews were collected for this and they will be posted one by one as I collect them (in order). All spelling errors (not grammar) will be corrected prior to posting just because I'm a perfectionist when it comes to spelling. :D (so don't feel bad, interviewees!!!)
Stay tuned by following or subscribing! The interviews will be up this week!

DISCLAIMER: I may be the one conducting these interviews out of inspiration, but that does not mean I agree with every single comment posted in the Lookbook thread, or every single reply in my interviews. I am merely gathering thoughts and opinions on this to generate awareness and to hopefully inspire females out there to be confident in their own bodies, regardless of what people may say to them. If you wish to quote anything from my blog or the interviews, please credit it back to this blog.
Thank you,
Jessy

Here are a few quotes that I personally enjoyed reading from the thread. Keep in mind that I couldn't post all of the comments I liked! This is only four of them. : )
"Shape is way more important than size...Small ones look nice, especially on thin girls..." - John S.
"it depends if you want to be told that you're sexy or that you're beautiful." - Teetee H.
"I find small breasts absolutely beautiful. I never really had a big attraction to larger boobs, smaller ones however are very cute, baha :) " - Mark D.
"My mum gave me a book titled, "Small busted women have big hearts" Each page is a quote and cartoon. Here are some of the quotes:
- Small busted women can go braless, it's comfortable in warm weather and sexier the year-round
- SBW can sleep on their stomachs.
- SBW find it much easier to shop for clothes. They look better in a wider range of clothes, and never have to worry about hemline alterations.
- SBW are noticed for a lovely face. Men see their hair, their smile, their eyes.
- SBW are appreciated for themselves, their personalities, their abilities. SBW never have to wonder why they got the job.
- SBW always look younger
- SBW can sunbathe topless on gay beaches.
- SBW can take an aerobic class without running the risk of knocking themselves out.
- SBW know that anything more than a handful is wasted.
- SBW look much better in winter coats, and can easily wear layers of clothing.
- SBW can wear designer clothes.
- SBW have more erogenous zones. No kidding their compact bodies tend to concentrate nerve endings, and small busted women definitely have more fun during sex.
- SBW always look thinner.
- SBW are often a little insecure because of the size of their figures. They overcome this with a more expansive personality and inner glow that many laymen describe as having a big heart." - Light Y.

lol @ who the very last comment is from
ReplyDeleteomgggg. i love the boobs interview ! like really.! but im in need of help on mine.. i really want them to make at least a little bigger? any ides/ suggestions? im thinking of those breast enlargement pills. anyone knows a good one? thanks! :]
ReplyDeleteJust as there are no REAL penis enlargement pills, there are no REAL breast enlargement pills. Thank goodness. I'd hate to see every woman walking around with large breasts, and no more small, pretty ones left.
ReplyDeleteI dunno, as a busty woman, I found a lot of the remarks to be offensive. But some good points were made. Would have been nice to see a similar interview for larger breasted women. We're all victims of a patriarchal society's sick beauty standards.
ReplyDeleteOkay I realize that this comment is a bit late, seeing as this post is from 2010, but even as a "SBW" I find some of the remarks to be offensive as well. Really, how stupid is it to say that women with small breasts have better personalities, have more fun during sex, get jobs for all the right reasons, etc. Wow. People develop differently. Breast size means nothing about who you are as a person. If anything, this post feels like "SBW" bashing women with larger breasts in order to feel better about themselves. And again, this post is from someone who wears a 34A bra, so I do not have large breasts by any means.

ReplyDeleteOh, don't take it to heart. : ) I'm sure that book was written just for humour's sake. : )
