Canada Goose Jackets

Updated this post a little in April 2013, but I left the 2010 prices intact. Most of the prices have gone up since then so check with your closest retailer for them.

Here's a quick look at the new coat I bought from Sporting Life and a little review of the Canada Goose Montebello.

 $550 + tax = $621.50
This was the first coat I tried out and purchased - the Canada Goose NY Jacket.  It seems to be out of production, which is sad because I love it!  Until this day, I totally regret returning the jacket. It may be thin for Canadian weather, but it would be something I can travel with or wear during the fall season.

$550 + tax = $621.50
After I returned the NY Jacket, I looked around Sporting Life for other jackets, including the Arc-Teryx Fission SV Gortex Jacket.  (A rather rude saleswoman told me that the brand is pronounced "Arc-TARE-ix", not "ARC-ter-ix". Just a little FIY.)  This jacket was just what I was looking for - slim and warm!  Unfortunately, the size only went down to XS and wasn't as fitted as I would have liked it to be. If Arcteryx produces smaller sizes or even girls sizes in the future, I will definitely consider a jacket.

This is the Canada Goose Montebello Parka in light grey. I'm happy with my final decision. The length is long enough to cover my bum and the fur is removable. I'm wearing an XXS, but it's still a bit roomy for me and I'm considering selling it. Shoot me an email or tweet me if you're interested. If I sell it, I'll probably get a kids' jacket in size S. UPDATE: I bought a new Canada Goose jacket. It's the Girls Kensington Parka (discontinued) in size S.

On another note, Sporting Life's shipping service was pretty fast because I ordered this on a Friday night and received it on Tuesday morning (which is basically one whole business day). Keep in mind that I live in the Greater Toronto Area, so it might take longer for other parts of Canada.

Creepy drinking man

Wedges from ASOS (here)
Denim shorts from Forever 21
Polka-dotted tights from H&M
Plaid flannel from Jean Machine
Over-the-knee socks from Ardene

This was my first time wearing socks over tights.  What do you think?

Anyway, check out the creepy drinking man at Phoenix Restaurant:
My boyfriend took the pics of him.  I was kinda creeped out, to be honest.  He wants them in his house in the future. LOL Uhh...

It was my first time (and my boyfriend's second time) at Phoenix Restaurant and I was pretty impressed!  We ordered the satay udon noodles with beef and a green tea ice cream waffle to share.  Yum yum. ^_^  The waffles were probably the best waffles I had in my life.  They were soooooooooooooooooo tasty. So sososososo tasty.

If any fellow Torontonians are interested, Phoenix has a location just north of Woodbine Ave. & Steeles Ave. and a location at McCowan Rd. and Raymerville Dr.  They might have a few more locations, but those are the two I know of. : )

P.S. Check this out.  (My friend's blog post.)  It grossed me out because my brother buys this drink all the time.  THANKFULLY, I HATE ALOE DRINKS. LOL
