Dave & Buster's

The annual Christmas celebration with my friends was at Dave & Buster's this year. This place is all over the US and there are only two locations in Canada (one in Vaughan and one at Niagara Falls). For those who aren't familiar with D&B, it's a restaurant, bar, and arcade for adults. You win tickets at the arcade to redeem prizes.

Blogger Secret Santa Exchange 2011

Last year's Secret Santa Exchange with the petite blogging community was a big success, so here we are again with more participants! : ) Again, the budget this year was $25 plus shipping.

My Secret Santa this year was the amazing Elle from Fast Food and Fast Fashion. It's funny because I emailed her about forwarding a package to me and even said something along the lines of "I hope you're my Secret Santa so this isn't inconvenient for you." LOL
Elle got me what I wanted and more.
Top: Goody Spin Pins, a belt storage loop, Asian hair bumpit
Bottom: Ann Taylor scarf, Forever 21 leopard chain necklace

Everything she gifted me is practical and I can see myself using these things for a long time. THANK YOU, Elle. For this and more. : )

Trendy Tuesday: Glitter Shoes

This trend clearly isn't leaving us any time soon as we see more and more glitter shoes popping up on the market. They come in a variety of colours and styles. The style is easily DIY-able, but for those of us who don't have the patience to do it, here are a few options available online.
Forever 21 | ASOS | Topshop | TOMS

Old Navy | Charlotte Russe | Kimchi | Nine West

Do you think this trend is suitable for daytime outfits?

Trendy Tuesday: Burgundy, Wine, Maroon, etc.

I've been lovingggg burgundy/wine/maroon lately. I think we've all been seeing it on various blogs and at retail stores this season! I'm a fan of dark colours, so I embraced this colour trend immediately. I've picked out a few burgundy clothing items below, but if you're not into a giant block of colour, try out some burgundy accessories to update your wardrobe!

As usual, I try to pick out things that are under $100.

Oasis / ModCloth / ModCloth / Forever 21 / ASOS

Blu Bijoux / Free People / Maison Scotch / ASOS / Marc by Marc Jacobs

What colour are you loving this season? : )

Trendy Tuesday: Girl with the Dragon Tattoo x H&M

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for H&M collection will hit stores tomorrow (the 14th). Who's excited? The pieces are by the costume designer (Trish Summerville) of the popular book turned movie. The 30 piece collection features a lot of edgy, punkish looks that certainly won't appeal to everyone. Below are a few of my favourite pieces.
Similar: Romeo & Juliet - ASOS - LnA
I'm a fan of leather pants, but probably won't wear those because of the exposed zipper. I'd totally wear the hooded scarf & the ripped tee though.
 Similar: Whistles - ASOS - Current/Elliott
The leather jacket was the only coloured piece of the collection. I loveeee burgundy so this is def. on my list. The tribal earrings are cool and of course, an edgy collection isn't complete without a pair of ripped jeans.

White Boyfriend Blazer

I've been searching long and hard for the perfect white blazer that actually fits. I've come across plenty of them at H&M and Zara, but quality & pricing usually deter me from them. Zara blazers are always nice, but most of them should be a smidge smaller in order to convince me to pull out my credit card.

Lo and behold, I found one at Urban Outfitters by chance. Thanks to the incredibly detailed reviews on the site, I ended up purchasing the XS and it fits like a glove. This blazer is available from XS to L and comes in TEN colours. I purchased this with a gift card I had and used Mr. Rebates (referral) for 3% cashback. (Thanks Elle, for forwarding this package to me! $20 shipping is ridic.)
Leather jacket: Danier | Fur collar: H&M | Blazer: Silence & Noise | Tee: Cheap Monday | Jeans: Cheap Monday (similar)
Watch: Michael Kors (similar) | Boots: H&M (similar at ASOS) | Bag: Alexander Wang (here in granite)

Blazer Measurements (size XS)
Shoulder width: ~ 14.5"
Length: ~ 23.5"
Sleeves (from underarm): ~ 15.5"

Trendy Tuesday: Zara Evening Looks

I'm loving Zara's recent lookbook featuring evening wear. Ahhhh :D Soo pretty. Here are the pieces and prices (USD).
Blouse: $59.90 | Blazer: $89.90 | Dress: $89.90
I love the first look.
Blouse & shorts: $79.90 & $59.90 | Dress: N/A | Dress & boots: $99.90 & $159
Loving the first look!!
Dress: $159 | Blouse & heels: $79.90 each | Dress: $159
Love the 2nd & 3rd looks!

The prices are a bit steep for me, so I'm gonna pass on these items even though I love the blouses, pink blazer, and the last dress. Will you be picking anything up from this collection?
